Fundraiser Update:

You can read about it here.

Bottom line, we need about $300 by next Tuesday to keep service, the another $270 by April 2nd. THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS is the only thing keeping us from our goal which is to not lose electricity right now.

The only reason I’ve linked to paypal here is because receiving funds through gofundme can take up to 5 business days and this disconnect notice’s shelf life will expire before that.

Please help us.

Morgueticia and her daughter are in a difficult life situation and really need our help. If you can, please donate to her fundraiser, or share this post so that others can help too.

  2. I just sent $20 through paypal. I will reblog and try to send this to my facebook page as well.

    • Thankies, thankies, thankies. May the sacred pegaorn bless you a million times over. We are almost *there* to at least keep the power on til May, so words just can’t express our gratitude properly.

      • You are welcome. I had a rent decrease so helping someone else is a good thing to do with it. Glad you are almost there.

      • I think one of the saddest, and most angering things about living in Armpit, is that my dad lobbied this landlord friend of his for 20 years, insisting he loved low income/section 8/income based programs. Then we get here and he sells out the first cheaper place cos he’s 78 senile, then he when I told him he could get a $100 payment towards our deposit through Salvation Army, he absolutely refused to accept it and said he wouldn’t be dealing with any of that anymore. So my check is $835 and rent is $400 and it’s just super tight, especially with winter heat bills and the furnace malfunction. I wish I had never listened to my dad, he had me thinking with housing assistance, we’d be catching a break here. Instead due to the landlord refusing all outside assistance, we are struggling to keep our heads above water. My dad only thinks he knows everything.

      • I am sorry. Hope things look up for you. I get housing assistance and because I have so many medical bills I got the decrease. Also my rent is only 30% of gross adjusted income. I was lucky qualifying for this program.

      • My memory is like swiss cheese, full of holes, but I can’t recall if you got to keep your cat when you moved?
They are extra work, extra expense, but sooo worth it for the dark bipolar phases. That is why they care called therapy pets, they truly are therapeutic! ❀

      • She was registered as a therapy cat, they let me have her without a downpayment or a rent increase, but she had become attached to my son and spent 2 weeks under my bed. She wanted him and he wanted her so I gave her to him so she had a chance as a good life with someone she really wanted to be with. She wouldn’t even let me hold her although he could. They bonded and she made her choice. I couldn’t take care of her anyhow so this is better.

      • Well, ya know the old cliche of ‘love something, set it free’ stems from some truth. I am happy that your son and the cat bonded, great for them. I do hope, at some point, you feel stronger and able to care for a therapy pet, even if it’s just a fish in a bowl. People don’t give this type of thing the credit it deserves. And ya know, goldfish/betta fish are pretty easy to care for and maintain as opposed to an aquarium, dog that needs walks, cats who need clean litter daily.

That is just me, though. You seem pretty excited about the Bingo and art therapy so Spook and I send you all the well wishes for what makes you feel better, cope better, and doesn’t overstress you. Cos yeah, *many* pets are alot of work and you gotta do what is best for them, and that’s both grueling and beautiful.

Keep me posted about what is going on with you ,lady. Sass and me still care, even if the ‘volatile femmes’ faded out of existence.

      • I was thinking about Sass the other day. Wondering how she was doing. I know the others have pretty much disappeared in one shape or another. I went to one of the websites for one of the girls and it was no longer in existence. Forgot her name now. And I know the one passed on. Sad!

Fish aren’t allowed here from what I have heard. Although I have thought about the beta fish. You have to apply to have pets and the only reason I got Sara in so fast was because she was registered as a therapy cat. She had a rough 3 years of life before I took her on and she deserves the rest of her life be happy and he makes her happy and he loves her so they fit. We never really clicked. I wanted a snuggly kitty, but she wasn’t that for sure. But she snuggles with him and knows the word snuggle and runs and hops into bed with him. They are perfect together. Tomorrow is my next art class. Now we get 2 a month and they pay for all supplies. And always liked BINGO, but never had the chance to play. ❀ love ya.

      • For what it is worth, I still talk to Sass, Andrew, Mr. Mumple, and Jess Melancholia. Once Ulla (Blah) passed away the group seemed to splinter but I am just too stubborn to let people I love get away that easily. I think keeping the notion of wordpress and the support community going would make Blahpolar feel pretty happy for all of us. She was an amazing woman.

Maybe you could get one of those fur-real pets that purr and mew or woof or whatever? They don’t make messes so technically they are animatronics, not pets, but it’s still companionship πŸ˜‰ Spook got a bird for her birthday that sings everything she says to it and it lights up in its cage, it is sooo adorable.

Petty as it may be, I am sooo envious of the toys kids have these days that I didn’t have at that age. My baby wet-n-dry seems pretty lame by today’s standards.
